Hafsah Faizal's writing is lyrical and incredibly beautiful. I was sucked into the story from page one! The world of White Roaring is so well-built and interesting, with twisty plots and intriguing politics. Hafsah's incredible writing made it feel like stepping through the pages and onto the streets of White Roaring alongside the characters.

In a book with a large cast, I always look for deeply written side characters, and Arthie and her friends did not disappoint. I was excited for each POV change, invested in all of their stories, and rooting for their success despite the odds. Their dynamics and relationships are authentic and believable, and I absolutely adored Arthie from start to finish.

Tempest of Tea is such a fresh, interesting take on vampires. I don't usually go for vampire novels (traumatized by the Twilight era I think) but this one was un-put-down-able in the best way.

I can't wait for the next book to continue Arthie's story!
