I'm not well versed in vampire stories, having not read one since my daughters were reading the 'Twilight' series some twenty years. Nevertheless, the cover of this book looks interesting and once I started reading about Arthie I was caught up in vampire lore. I really like the characters I met - Matteo, Jin and of course Arthie. I can just picture the comfort of Spindrift. I would also love to see for myself all the gadgets that transform Spindrift into the bloodhouse. I would give this read four stars and definitely think it would be appropriate for a young adult audience.
