I absolutely loved We Free the Stars, but this book I believe will out do that Duet! In the first pages we are introduced to
Arthie Casmir and her partner in crime Jin . They run a tea room which is a front for their more nefarious enterprises, such as supplying coconut blood to the underground Vampires.
The descriptions of the city and people are lush and the prose absolutely beautiful. It is not one to rush but to sit and daydream with. The young artist Vampire that Jin shoots is a mystery that I cannot wait to see unfold, will he be the love interest for our enterprising independent FMC? I hope so because I want so many more on page descriptions of him!
This book I am sure will be in my yearly top ten as my fave Fantasy Book of 2024 and I truly hope a special edition is in the works to add to my shelf.
