A unique take on the classic vampire genre!

The plot is intriguing and grabbed my attention right away. The world-building is great, with many layers to it. I am curious to learn more about the world of Ettenia. It seems there might be some political intrigue as the story continues. The characters are both fun and unique, and I think a found family trope could work well in this story. I'd like to see how their relationships develop as the story progresses.

The cover design is pretty and mysterious, but it makes me think of historical murder mystery rather than vampires. I liked the addition of the maps and illustrations at the beginning.
