The beginning of A Tempest of Tea was enough to draw you in and leave you wanting more. We get a lot of hints about the main character, Arthie's, traumatic past. Though today, she seems to be feisty, ruthless, intelligent, and unbreakable. I loved the idea of there being 2 types of vampires: full and half vampires. I hope we get a lot more about that in the rest of the book. This book has potential, but does feel very tropey. Arthie feels like a lot of other characters in YA novels, so I hope she gets added depth in the rest of the book. Overall, a solid start.
