This is such a sweet romance. I loved the mystery aspect behind it along with the idea that there may have been a scandal going on. It was interesting to get a peek into what it was like to live in 1929 and go hang out with wealthy people for a summer. I enjoyed the diary entry format. It helped keep Ruth and her story separate and connected. I think helped make the storyline unique. I enjoyed Millie and Ben as characters. They both seemed real and believable. The romantic tension in this book also kept me wanting to read. The complexity of this relationship was also great. I enjoy novels that take the time to create the relationship and work through potential conflicts that will come up in any relationships.
