I had to mark this as 'did not finish', I tried I truly tried. With that I can't really rate this book (but seeing how I had to rate it something I'm going with a 2 - it was ok), I only really read to like chapter 9 and just stopped, I couldn't do it anymore. by that point I no longer cared about Ben nor Millie, I was mildly concerned about lost treasure and less so on who Millie grandfather was, by chapter 10 I was only reading Ruth diary entries (which to me ending up being the most interesting part of the novel) and glancing over everything else.
I will say the writing was good, and it started off great and interesting. It just couldn't hold my interest, I do plan on passing this book on to my mother she loves these types of books and I know would love it more than I did.
