Come to find out that they were both there for family reasons. Millie, because of her great grandmother's stay there in the 1920's and her journals that were left there and her love story with 2 men and Ben's story because he needed to make money to repay his mother's victims in a money scam years ago. Millie was trying to make money also to find a better place for her grandmother Joy who had dementia but did remember a lot of her mother's Summer at the Chateau. A few treasures, in books, were found relating to her grandmother's love affair and life and in the end a treasure chest also. What I found a little far-fetched was that Millie's grandmother was a victim of Ben's mother's scam.
