A Sparkle of Silver by Liz Johnson, deals with Millie and the newly discovered secrets her Grandmother Joy kept hidden from everyone. Finding Joy’s diary, Millie uncovers more than she ever wanted to know. I love the setting of St. Simon Island, Georgia, and the Christian element endeared me to this book even more. Ben, the secondary character as a love interest is complex. I love the message carried throughout this story, the theme of forgiveness and love among them. This clean mystery/romance is an enjoyable read and I walked away with a clearer view on how one can hold to their faith and beliefs through a confusing, difficult time.
