The book cover reminds me of a romance novel, so normally I would pass this book over if I saw it in a store. However, after reading the synopsis I decided to give the First Impression a read and am glad I did.
It starts of with Millie, whose grandmother and the person who raised her seems to have Alzheimer's and is living in a nursing home that Millie is struggling to pay for. Then the director tells Millie she has 90 days before her Grandma Joy has to be gone..... This touched me because my own grandmother suffered from the disease and her nickname was Millie and her name was Carmella so it struck a cord.
In the first chapter a secret is revealed … I want to know more about who Millie's dad was .. And who Grandma Joy's father is …
The second chapter was about Ben .. I want to know who he is in relation to the story... how is he involved .. and where is this all going.. who is this con woman Ben is looking for?
Are secrets uncovered? Is the identity of Grandma Joy's father ever revealed?
