A Sparkle of Silver is an excellent title. It offers a glimpse of hope into the dreary situation Millie Sullivan, finds herself in. The responsibility of caring for her ailing grandmother Joy, rests on her shoulders alone, with little income to do so. In one of her grandmother's lucid moments, she spills a secret is about grandmother Joy's real father... Whoa. That was quite a twist.
The introduction of Ben sure peaked my interest. How does he fit in? How does the woman now in prison fit into his life? Why is he intent on righting the wrongs she committed? And most of all, does any of this have something to do with Millie and her grandmother? What a great mystery!
I enjoyed reading this excerpt and I can't wait to learn how Millie finds a solution to help her dig out of her dire financial situation to help her grandmother. And I hope Ben becomes a prominent part of their lives.
