I absolutely adored her first novel, Last Night at the Telegraph Club, so when I saw there was a second one coming out earlier this year I knew I totally had to get my hands on this one. This book is a beautiful coming-of-age that will leave you completely emotionally devastated. And it definitely doesn't hurt that the cover of this book is just as gorgeous as the writing itself. I did find this book a bit slow at times, and as someone who prefers very fast-paced books, it was a little hard to get through. But if you're looking for a queer emotional summery book this one is perfect. It was originally pitched as a companion novel for Last Night at the Telegraph club, but I would say it's definitely more of a stand-alone novel. Overall that book was a beautiful read, even though it was slow at times, and I'm very glad to have been able to read it so early!
