I was immediately drawn to this book after reading the description - something about an Asian American girl learning about herself and her identity. I was intrigued by the cover art, with all the different streaks of color, as I am usually drawn to more neutral color palettes, but after reading the first chapter, the cover made sense. The author's writing is smooth and well-paced, making me want to keep reading more and more. The protagonist is immediately relatable in the first scene, as a girl attempting to portray herself as an adult, and I would definitely want to read the rest of the book.
