I like the colors of the cover, but beyond that after reading the excerpt for the first impression I did not think this book offered much that would keep me reading. I know it's early in the book, but for some reason I just really did not like the main character. I think the first part was supposed to make you both get to know her and her past leading up. While it gave insight into the past, it did not make me feel a connection to the character.
