I haven't read the previous book of this author, Last Night at the Telegraph Club, but I have heard nothing but raving reviews from my friends. After reading this first impression, I can already see why. The writing style of the author is instantly soothing and mesmerizing. Her characters have a warmth to them from the opening lines and I'm already invested. I'd love to read more of this one.
