This coming of age and coming out story is heartfelt, emotional, and told in a plain, honest style. It tackles issues like slut-shaming and the damage of nonconsensual taking and online release of naked photos. It also dives into questioning one’s sexual orientation and family drama. One thing it captures right of the bat is a protagonist that just feels so… young. (In good and bad ways.) As much as the author has already gotten me to feel for the protagonist, I don’t think this is my cup of tea because it’s heading towards the main character that developing a huge crush on an unavailable love interest already in a serious relationship with someone else. Not really mg thing.
