I was really let down. I was expecting so much more. the way it was hyped up I thought it would this epic royal political ride. It was not. I did not enjoy this book. it took so long to get into. the characters were hard to like. I could not get behind their moral compass. The plot points were predictable. What can I say, its been done before, I wasn't surprised. I was sorely let down. And I was really looking forward to this book.
The only saving grace to this novel was the authors writing. it was beautiful even if the story itself was not. maybe this wasn't the story for her.
