I am really intrigued with the magic system. I wasn't expecting a tale with fey. There is different language which I always find interesting. The characters are interesting and I can't wait to find out more about each of them. There seems to be a rich background story as well that I must learn more about. I am so excited for this book! Its exactly the sort of fantasy I usually enjoy and so far it is living up to my expectations. I love a book that jumps in to set up the world and magic system so as a reader I feel like I can understand from the beginning instead of feeling lost waiting for an explanation for the first hundred pages.
