When this book was recommended to me, I was told that if I liked Children of Blood and Bone, I would like this. Well, I LOVED Children of Blood and Bone so that person really gave me a slam dunk of a recommendation. I love the blending of North African inspired fantasy and sibling rivalry. The world building was fun and elaborate and drew me in completely. Not to mention that the cover of this book is jaw droppingly stunning. The artist commissioned for creating the cover did a phenomenal job of drawing the reader in. while simultaneously showcasing the distinctions between the two sisters, and how central their rivalry is to the story itself. I had a blast reading this one and I cannot wait to get my hand on the squeal.
