So, this book was pretty good. I love the world and the way everything worked together. It was very well formed and really, really interesting!
However, I have to say that there are a couple things that I didn't enjoy. For a lot of the scenes, the main character could be replaced by a lamp and nothing would have changed. The plot moved the character, the character did not influence the plot. A couple of the other characters were confusing and I wish there was more development towards the main love interest. Also I wish the main character asked more questions about what was going on, instead of just rolling with the punches.
I do like how this book has male-female friendships, and even a bond (that would typically be used as a romantic thing by most authors) that was just there for protection and a friendship.
This book does have it's ups and downs, though I'm certainly interested enough to see how the sequel goes!
