When I read this book, I found myself wanting to be in this world. The main characters feel very flushed out, like they were real people. The world was laid out beautifully and vividly for everyone to see and appreciate.
Eva is a character that is resilient even when she is not fully confident in herself and her abilities. The growth in her abilities as well as her attitude towards what she needs to do is clearly shown and is engaging. The other characters compliment her well, such as her best friend Falun, who balances the line of protective and supportive without being overbearing.
Her mentor, Baccha, was so funny and witty! He was knowledgeable, but playful and unconventional. I wish more mentors were like him.
The plot of the book was gripping and not dense with too much angst and drama. I was able to enjoy everything about this book! It made me think, imagine and I really want it to become a movie or tv series one day!
