Everyone has been comparing this novel to children of blood and bone, and Children of Blood and Bone has been one of my favorite reads of this year. This novel most definitely lived up to the hype, and the comparison was correct!
To begin, the cover is absolutely gorgeous. The art is so well done and the cover was probably what drew me in at first.
The magic system in this book was very interesting and I liked reading about it. The plot was also well done and while at some points it felt slow, overall I was flying through this book. Now, the characters. The characters are some of the most dynamic characters I’ve ever read, and it was so interesting to read their dialogues and just about them in general!
