Women Rule in A Magical Dystopian World

The cover looks more cartoonish than the story turns out to be. This is a brutal world, and the fact that women (Queens) are the ones who rule has not lessened the violence. Every character in this book is born with some sort of magical ability buried inside. Unfortunately, the Queen's daughter seems to have far weaker powers than she needs. To make matters worse, she enjoys sneaking out of her protected castle and enjoying dancing and nightlife among other creatures who resemble humans. I am not sure where this story is headed.
