I rarely read YA fiction, nor do I read much fantasy, so this book is outside my normal genre preferences. Still, I read the sample because sometimes I like a different sort of story. This one is well written. The magical world comes alive on the pages, and I could visualize the characters involved. The content and style isn't something I'd choose to read, but it seems ideal for readers of this genre.
