I was interested in the book originally by the cover and the short blurb about how a matriarchal society in a faraway kingdom where sisters might fight to the death for the throne. Eva and Isa were once close but now will have to face each other. Eva does not use the special magic she has, the magic of blood and bone that she does not know how to control. The lush descriptions of the kingdom and the various humans and creatures that inhabit it paint a vivid picture. I am very interested in reading this book when it is released!
