I was swept away with the narrative while reading but now that I've had time & space to reflect on this world set up... Not exactly buying it. Not exactly hating it either.
Kinda hard to believe the loving General father wouldn't have prepared her better at regular fighting at least. Or that no one has pushed her to use her powers again. Or they didn't practice on others or animals or the obvious corollary of healing! I just... I dunno. Maybe it's all explained later...I'll be fine waiting to find out at this point.
