The cover for A River of Royal Blood looks absolutely amazing, and I was sold the second I saw it being compared to Children of Blood and Bone (loved it).
The rest of the description caught my attention as well - I think I'd have wanted to read A River of Royal Blood even without the comparison.
As for the first look, I didn't want to stop! I loved everything about A River of Royal Blood, so far. I like the way we were thrown into the plot, and am honestly curious to see more of this world.
