When I read the prologue I was ready to demolish this book, however that changed after I read the first chapter. It started off slow and seemed to lack anything entertaining and dragged on slightly.
That being said things started to get more entertaining during the second chapter, with Stella coming home and washing her clothes straight away. Leaving her dad to wallow in his anxiety about where she was. The scene where he was laying in bed thinking about his hopes for Stella and all her plans was so interesting to me, I literally couldn't stop reading.
When reading this preview, I got the feeling of a family trying to look put together but are falling apart ever so slightly. The daughter avoiding the parents, the father feeling so paranoid about his daughter, it even felt like the mother's keeping secrets for her husband. I want and need more.
