Meh...
As a big thriller fan, I was excited that A Nearly Normal Family was a pick for the Book of the Month subscription box. I was also looking forward to reading it, as my neighbors growing up were from Sweden.
However, I was not too fond of the book. Its told in 3 parts, which I feel wouldve been better had they been alternating chapters told from the different perspectives. I found the dads POV boring, but it did pick up with Stella and her moms POVs.
One thing I look for in thrillers are exciting twists and a surprising ending... ANNF didnt contain either. The ending was predictable, which I found very saddening because I felt it had so much potential.
I'm thinking maybe courtroom drama/thrillers just may not be my thing.
