Interesting concept
What can I say about this book? It was definitely an interesting read. It was told in a 3 part structure which is why I believe the cover looks the way it does. I felt for Stella (the main character) and was confused the entire time while reading. I was not able to guess what was happening which is always good for me as a reader. I tend to guess what happened or who did something way too far in advance while reading. I shouldn't be able to accurately figure out each part of the story and I was not able to while reading this book.
Nothing seems normal about this family even though in the except/information for the book, they are portrayed as normal. I would never find a family with a father as a pastor or with a mother as a lawyer ever "normal." You learn a lot about what each parent thinks and how their careers teach them what is "good" and what is "bad" in their own way through the story.
