Failed to Connect

After one hundred pages, I wondered why my reading pace slowed. Honestly, I did not connect with the protagonist. He felt incredibly slow-witted and naive. Granted he's a man of the cloth, but I had trouble connecting to him, which is a shame because I did not get a chance to experience the other two perspectives written. But, without feeling as though I have to slough through the pages, I won't get the chance.

I have a feeling this story is less mystery-thriller and more character study of a family in need of therapy. Unfortunately, I cannot give a robust review as I did not finish this book. Hopefully, other readers grasp the connection the connection I desired, but did not attain. Thanks for the opportunity.
