“A Nearly Normal Family” starts off with the perspective of the father of Stella, the young woman accused of murder. His part is where we kind of get to know each of the family members a little bit. His section was the slowest for me, but then it got more interesting. He is a pastor. This section is what I would call an appetizer.
Then comes Stella’s section (the real meat and gravy to the story) and every thing really kicks up a couple gears. Her section was by far the best and most illuminating into her life, her mind, her reasons behind her mounting bad choices.
Then the third part is the mothers, who is a lawyer. This is the “dessert and wine” portion of the story. Everything comes to fruition and we find out the who, what, when, where and why.
A very good book overall and I would highly recommend it!
