I enjoyed this book a lot. It was really interesting to read it in three parts, as it showed more and more of the story and how differently everyone saw the problem and dealt with it. It proved a point of how we never know the full picture, and trying to control a situation can backfire.

The characters were really distinct from each other, but I liked this family dynamic. It seemed realistic, and exactly how I see life with a teenager - always a fight. And the relationships all made sense. It is sad that all these relationships were riddled with secrets, though.

I wouldn't call this a thriller. More of a domestic suspense and a look into legal procedures in a different country. And the end left me with questions, but I liked it. This was a good story about family, friendship, loyalty and ethics. Highly recommend it.
