Wow. The build in this story mounts at a good speed, giving bit by bit until my curiosity has me turning pages more quickly. I love the father's perspective...worrisome, loving, and frightened. I can easily put myself in his shoes--at the disbelief that something like this scenario could happen to a "normal family" with a "normal daughter" rather than a fallen criminal type or junkie. It would be extremely difficult to wrap my head around the certain chaos about to ensue. Having faith to lean on--as a source of strength--is essential. I am so invested in this story and can't wait to read the entire thriller!
