As a mother I read the excerpt of A Nearly Normal Family and couldn't help but think "what would I do if this was my child"? I can directly connect with knowing what the sleepless nights of worry are like when your child (young adult) is out late at night not responding to text messages and every unimaginable thought of the terrible things that could happen to them runs through your head with never ending worry. The moment they come home is a huge sigh of relief and you're just overwhelmed with how tired and stressed you were that you can finally fall asleep.
Within every thought of worry; you never imagine that your child could be responsible for a horrible act and that is where my thoughts ran while reading the pages of the book what would I do to protect my child. I am anxiously awaiting being able to read how this all turns out. Will the parents actions be the same as my own would be in this same situation?
