I must read all of this book ! It captivated me immediately, and the generous number of pages available for the First Impression review confirmed my positive first impression. I am certain that this book will have something to which any reader can relate. When I first saw that this book was a translation, I was afraid that the English words might seem stilted, but this was not the case. The prose flows naturally, with enough sensory details to make it interesting (such as the father's limoncello) without interrupting the action with excessive adjectives.
In fact, in this day and age of carefully crafted facades of perfect lives for social media, even the title of Edvaardson's book's is appealing. Isn't every person and every family "nearly normal" in one way or another?
