The book immediately grabs your question as it introduces the premise right away - an attorney father defending his own daughter after she’s accused of a serious crime - and poses the question, what would we do for the people we love? At first glance it reminds me of All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin but seems like it’ll be more of a thriller and the lawyer father puts a really interesting legal spin on a semi-familiar trope.
