This was my first book from this author and it’s a gothic YA story it’s easy to read. It’s a Poe Retelling inspired by the Masque of Red Death . I enjoyed read it and liked it had a nice vibe and was a unique story it’s a great read for spooky season and it’s a delicious gothic tale. I love reading gothic stories and YA Stories!! It’s a bloody Greta book and Mara provided beautiful descriptions and had a way to make you forget you were reading. This book does not disappoint and it has vampires and a plague vampires are some of my favorites to read about so I jumped right into this book and was immediately hooked from the start. It’s a great fantasy stand alone it’s is a slow burn but I don’t mind that it also had suspense and was quick to read I read it within one sitting and don’t regret picking it up. This book was a wild ride I enjoyed and will definitely be reading more by this author
