I love retellings, and this one, with it's beautiful cover and fascinating summary, had no problem in capturing my curiousity.

Maria Rutherford tells the story of a bloody plague taking over the lives of many. The royalty and nobility are all locked away in quarantine (sounds familar?) by the king while the peasants suffer its gore. Imogen, the princess, teams up with Nico, a gentleman-turned-servant as they seek to discover survivors at Eldridge Hall, where the people had been locked away.

Told in dual POV, this story has sheathed secrets, suspenseful writing that keeps you on the edge of your seat, fascinating characters that you can't help but root for, a bit of Jewish representation, touches of fantasy, and incorporations of many gothic traditions, nothing is what it seems in A Multitude of Dreams.

"Eldridge Hall was a castle built on lies."
