A Multitude of Dreams follows the lives of Princess Imogen and Nico Mott. Imogen has been forced to live a lie and been sequestered with several members of the royal court in the castle for the last 3 years, as a plague called the mori roja ravaged their community. The people in the castle live on, pretending as if nothing bad is happening outside the castle walls. Nico survived the plague only because of the kindness of a lord. He finds himself torn between his duty to the lord and his need to live a life of his own. When Imogen and Nico meet, sparks fly in more ways than one, and the tower of lies they've both grown to know begins to crumble.

The writing is good. The atmosphere is perfectly dark and Gothic. The politics, court intrigue, and lies are on point. Definitely another winner from Mara Rutherford. It's a perfect book for the spooky season.
