This story definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat! I really like how they used an Edgar Allan Poe idea and turned it into so much more! One thing I liked is how you see into a few different people's lives to see how they each are surviving this plague. I also really like how they've made it so that there are different types of surviving and not surviving. I also liked how some of these characters are just survivors that have been stuck with other random strangers and you get to see how different they are to each other and how they interact and what they will hide from each other and who will trust who. You also start to question some of these characters yourself! Another thing I liked is how they show what the animals act like after all this destruction from this plague and how they wreck havoc. The author definitely describes everything well too.
