Grabbed my attention from the absolutely gorgeous cover art and kept me glued to the page the entire time. I need more now!!
This is an intriguing reimagining of Poe’s “Masque of the Red Death” in a very YA, romantic, lightly gothic turn of the work. Which also feels very timely for current society as well. An apropos story for a world coming out of quarantine and years of trying to find a new normal. I’m fascinated to see where this story goes and how the reference material melds with the snippets of devastating world history that have been written into this fantastic new story.
