The description of this being based on Edgar Allen Poe’s work immediately grabbed my attention. I was worried at first that the tone would be old fashioned like Poe but I was pleasantly surprised by how modern and unique the writing was. The characters were fiesty and had strong voices and I wanted to keep reading and find out everything about their secrets. This is such an interesting premise and the snippet was well done!
