The cover is gorgeous and I love the title. It’s the type of YA fantasy that’s all the rage these days. But I don’t like the genre, and even though the writing was nice, and there was a neat twist at the end of the first chapter, it wasn’t enough to make me want to read more. Too much death in it, and that’s not what I’m looking to read right now.
