I love the premise! I just finished reading Mara Rutherford's last book, The Poison Season, and this story seems equally amazing and well-written. I'm truly intrigued! Being a fan of Edgar Allan Poe's work, I'm really curious to see how "The Masque of Red Death" connects to this story. Seraphina and Nico are not only physically confined in Goslind for years due to the mori roja, but they also have to hide their true identities. The intensity caused by such a burden, both physically and emotionally, can be felt on every page. How much longer can they keep up this charade before the truth inevitably comes out? The First Look definitely left me wanting more. I would love to see where the story goes!
