Loved the cover, but just curious about the crow and how that creature will play into the narrative. I didn't quite like the storyline as it seemed a bit disjointed pivoting back and forth between Nico and Imogene. And it wasn't until the end of the excerpt that I learned about Seraphina masquerading as the late Princess Imogene who died of the mori roja. It should be interesting for other readers to find out how everything comes together. But for me, I struggled to read through this and I don't think I would want to continue reading further.
