Initially, the cover is what drew me into this first look and made me want to open it up - it is gorgeous! It was interesting to read about the society re-created after the bloody plague. The juxtaposition between Seraphina's life as a princess inside the castle and Nico's life as someone who digs graves outside the castle is extremely intriguing and makes me excited to see how their two paths will cross and what their relationship will be like. This book is right up my alley - I love the mixture of romance, dystopian, fantasy, and royalty in a post-plague-stricken world.
