When I first saw this cover, I knew immediately that the story within was going to be beautiful as well, and it truly was. Ning was such a compelling protagonist and I loved watching her grow and explore the relationships in her life. The magic system was immensely fascinating and it really made me reevaluate my relationship with the tea I was drinking at home. The world-building was really spectacular and I felt like I really understood how Ning's world worked. Young adult books can sometimes feel a bit more juvenile, but this one managed to maintain its intriguing plot from start to finish. I truly cannot wait for the sequel to be out and am counting down the days until it is in my hands and I can finally read that one as well (with its equally beautiful cover). If you're at all interested in this one, definitely check it out as you will not regret it.
