Um, as a lover of tea and all that comes with it, do you think I would turn away a book with the magical art of tea making? No way!
First, the cover is a work of art that just takes my breath away. I love the illustration and all of the colors. Absolutely gorgeous. Take all of my money just for that.
And the plot? The magic? *chef's kiss* I love the idea that the magic changes depending on the different types of tea and depends on how you prepare the tea. (exactly how tea can taste differently in real life). I've been craving a Chinese inspired novel and this definitely hit the spot. Probably because I was drinking tea as I read.
I absolutely love Ning. Her struggles are so compelling and I loved reading about her journey. I believe that this is the author's debut work and I am completely blown away.
This is the first of duology and I am so excited to be immersed in this world once more!
