Magic that revolves around tea? Say less! I'm already in!
The tea-based magic was the initial draw for me when it came to this book--though let's be real, the cover is a big draw as well! Could anything be more beautiful? -- but the characters and their struggles draw you in quickly and surely with this one.
The tea ceremony and the magic that surrounds it was written in a way that made me feel like I was sitting there, watching each turn and pour. I had so much fun exploring the way magic could be used in a completely different way than just spells and incantations.
From there, the characters lure you further with their dreams and fears, and I loved the mystery of who to trust and who to watch out for. (I don't want to spoil too much!)
Can't wait for the second book! (Which, yes, is already out, so my wait will not be long.)
